Life has a funny way of having us end up to where we should have been in the first place
If someone had told me 20 years ago, that I would be supporting myself as a Decorative Artist and having an Online Store, I just would not have believed them, but here I am.
Let me tell you a little something about myself. I am Mary Sue, originally from Texas and married at a young age (as a lot of my classmates did at that time) to a Southern Baptist preacher. Shortly thereafter, we had 4 little boys in rapid succession. As you can imagine, I had my hands full with Randy, Bryan, Steve and Lance. Just about the time I had rearing those 4 little boys down pat and my head above water so to speak, along comes Matthew, the 5th boy. Around that time, I experienced depression and decided I needed a hobby. I quickly enrolled in some painting classes. I continued with my newly found craft for several years and got a lot of satisfaction from it. It continued to be a hobby that I enjoyed until my husband passed away and I found myself needing more than a hobby. I needed a job and found one through the help and support of many friends in the community. For several years, I worked as librarian at the county library. I continued to perfect my craft and painting style and was determined to stretch myself artistically. The community and surrounding area has been so supportive of my work to the extent that I felt encouraged to broaden my horizon even further and build a website. After 27 years of painting, that brings us to the end of this story, but hopefully to a new chapter and a fresh, exciting page. In looking back, I see that God allowed me to be depressed in to guide me to learning to paint, as it would be a great source of my income after my husband’s death.
As a famous Christian author once said, “If you want to walk on water, you have to get out of the boat”. I keep telling myself that with God’s help, I will keep doing just that.

By the way, those 5 little boys turned out just great! I have 5 beautiful daughters-in-law and 11 wonderful grandchildren! God has blessed our family greatly and is using all 21 of us in service to Him.
